The Three Crowns has been awarded Silver in the South West Tourism Awards. This means we have been judged by an expert, independent panel to be the second-best pub in an area that covers Bristol, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall.
In a really strange year for everyone, this is no mean feat and we are delighted for our team who worked so hard to keep everyone safe in the months we were allowed to open. Like most people, they have struggled with the lockdowns and the impact this had on earnings (especially tips which the government wouldn’t consider for the furlough scheme) – but we got through and are looking forward to a more normal year!
And the news gets better! Steve and John who have been at the helm of The Three Crowns Inn since 2016 also took the Gold in this category with their pub in Cornwall The Pandora Inn – well done to our sister pub which is well worth a visit. We think this may be a first in the history of the tourism awards with one operator taking the two top awards in a single category!
